1 · What Pearly provides
On-site general dental care for consenting participants (students, children and residents) under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), delivered by accredited, experienced dentists:
- Dental health education
- Comprehensive intra and extra-oral examination
- Cleaning and scale
- Fluoride application
- Fissure sealants (if required)
- Individualised treatment plans
Where participants are eligible and after further consent, additional dental services may be offered.
2 · What your centre provides
- Suitable service dates in advance
- Promotion of the service to parents (newsletters, emails, P&C, website)
- Distribution and collection of consent forms, ideally returned about 7 days before the visit
- Release of participants for their appointment, and identifying absentees for rescheduling
- An on-site location for our van with access to power and water, at no cost
3 · Fees
For CDBS-eligible participants the service is free, bulk-billed to Medicare (the total benefit is capped at the CDBS cap, indexed annually, per child over two calendar years, and is based on family eligibility). Those not eligible under the CDBS: $55 per participant for preventative care (children aged 1–4 are free). Any further treatment is quoted upfront and only carried out with written parent/guardian consent.
4 · Our dentists
All dentists are AHPRA-registered and hold current Working With Children Checks, carrying photo ID with the WWCC number shown.
5 · Compliance, insurance & privacy
Pearly complies with all Commonwealth and State legislation, including the Dental Board of Australia, and maintains Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Workers Compensation insurance (evidence available on request). Records are handled per the Scheme and privacy requirements; participant records are secured at the centre's office overnight.
6 · Indemnity & term
Pearly indemnifies the centre against losses arising from its acts or omissions in connection with the service. Either party may terminate with one month's notice. These terms are the entire agreement and may only be changed in writing, signed by both parties.
7 · Rescheduling & cancellation
We hold your chosen dates once minimum consent numbers are confirmed. There is no security deposit. The centre agrees to give at least 7 business days' notice to reschedule or cancel a booked visit. Late cancellations inside 7 business days may incur a call-out fee to cover the allocated clinical team.
